I just finished my TT-01D this weekend and thought I'd post up a blog about it.
The kit contains quite a number of hop-ups, adjustable arms, oil shocks, bearings and a sport tuned motor. An led light set-up is also included in the kit which is pretty cool. I added an alloy centre driveshaft as there is too much flex in the stock plastic unit. I also put in a one-way in the front so it has a 'handbrake' effect when braking which I really like. The rear diff has been locked with hot glue. I was initially running the Tamiya wheels and drift tyres from the kit but I thought they had too much grip. I'm now running Kawada D4 hard plastic tyres on matt black painted rims which give a lot less grip which I prefer.
The Mazda RX-7 shell was painted gun-metal, and has a carbon fibre look sticker put on the bonnet. I made a pretty piss-poor job of applying the stickers, but still looks ok in action.
